What is Invisalign?
Invisalign is an invisible alternative to traditional metal braces. Dr. Aulakh offers this treatment to help treat:

What can I expect throughout the Invisalign treatment?
Dr. Aulakh provides an estimate of the duration of your treatment when she creates your treatment plan.
Dr. Aulakh takes impressions of your bite to obtain the measurements. She then uses these measurements to make your Invisalign trays.
These trays help align and move your teeth toward a straighter smile. You change trays roughly every two weeks. Throughout the treatment, the changing trays help your teeth move gradually until they are aligned.
Dr. Aulakh recommends you wear your aligners at least 22 hours a day. You may take them off while eating, but make sure to brush and rinse your teeth and Invisalign trays immediately afterward.
What is the difference between braces and Invisalign?
Invisalign is a far less invasive alternative when it comes to straightening your teeth than traditional metal braces. Invisalign is also virtually invisible, making it the perfect candidate if you don’t want anyone to notice you’re straightening your teeth.
Invisalign also makes it more enjoyable to do your daily activities, such as playing sports and instruments since these can be challenging with traditional braces. In addition, since wires and brackets aren’t involved, Invisalign causes less dental emergencies, meaning fewer trips to the dental office.
Nonetheless, Invisalign is more limited in terms of not being able to work for certain serious orthodontic cases. Due to this, Dr. Aulakh recommends a consultation to see if Invisalign can best treat your case.
